With the weather change, my family immediately started sniffling, coughing, and even running low grade fevers.  I knew immediately they needed a boost in their Vitamin D. This little vitamin is a powerful one!  Running around in the sun for months on end to being indoors and out of the sun can cause us to feel tired, lethargic, achy, and even be way more susceptible to colds and the flu.  Consider adding in this very inexpensive little vitamin that does it’s job well!  At roughtly $6 it’s well worth it to avoid days of not feeling well or having a houseful of sick kids!  Take this test to see what your Vitamin D levels are.

Many doctors have told us that when  you feel yourself coming down with something, take 20,000 IU of vitamin D for one day then back off to 10,000 IU for the next 3 days.  Then back down to 5,000 IU a day until it is gone.  If you will take 1,000-5,000 IU a day throughout the winter months (Shaklee Vita D is 1,000 IU per tablet) you will thwart off many illnesses before they ever make it to your home!
